Handpainted backdrops made for Australian photographers, with passion and purpose!

It’s never too late to chase your dreams! At 47, I decided to take the leap and start my own business—MCB Studio Backdrops—back in 2017.

I've always had a passion for painting and had sold my artwork here and there. But in 2017, I had a lightbulb moment: Australian photographers were craving hand-painted backdrops and were having to look overseas. That’s when I saw an opportunity and decided to jump in!

Starting MCB Studio Backdrops has been a dream come true. The journey has been both exciting and challenging, and I’ve learned so much along the way. Building a business from the ground up isn’t easy, but my passion for what I do keeps me going.

One of the most rewarding parts of this journey is knowing that I’m providing something Australian photographers have been longing for. It’s such a thrill to see my backdrops used in photoshoots and events all over the country.

I’m excited for what the future holds and can’t wait to create even more beautiful backdrops for photographers across Australia!
