It’s never too late to follow your passion and at the age of 47 I took the plunge and started my very own gig - MCB Studio Backdrops, established in 2017.

I've always had a passion for painting and had sold my artwork from time to time. But in 2017, a lightbulb moment struck me - Australian photographers were crying out for hand-painted backdrops and being forced to look overseas. So, I decided to take on the challenge!

Starting MCB Studio Backdrops has been a dream come true for me. It has been an exciting journey so far, and I have learnt a lot along the way. Building a business from scratch is no easy feat, but the passion for what I do keeps me going.

One of the most fulfilling parts of this venture is being able to provide a product that Australian photographers have been longing for. It gives me immense joy to see my hand-painted backdrops being used in various photoshoots and events.

I'm excited to see where this journey takes me and look forward to creating more beautiful backdrops for photographers across Australia.
